A lasting repair is more than a quick coat of paint. Here is how the damaged profile was rebuilt and blended back into the room.

Loose and damaged material is identified before work begins.

Carpet and nearby surfaces are fully masked before preparation.

Damaged sections are scraped out, filled, shaped and sanded to match the original moulding.

The repaired skirting is primed and painted for a clean, durable finish.
Your local tradesman
I'm the person behind Fix'n Finish—and the person who will look after your home. I provide honest advice, careful preparation and a tidy, fully insured service across South Hampshire.

“I can't recommend Fix'n Finish enough. The job was completed to a highly professional, immaculate standard. Alex was hardworking and so friendly. We had our kitchen and one of our bedrooms fully painted, as well as skirting boards repaired where there was cat damage. The rooms now look fresh and brand new again. We're extremely happy clients, and for future work we know who we can trust and rely on.”
Full-room repaint
The walls had become tired and greasy because an improperly installed extractor fan was not removing cooking residue effectively. We corrected the extractor installation during the job, then carefully cleaned, prepared and repainted the walls and ceiling.

Simple from the start
For many jobs, a few clear photos are enough for an initial estimate—without waiting days for someone to visit.

Prepared with careThe Fix'n Finish difference
Your home deserves more than a quick cover-up. We take time to protect the space, stabilise and smooth the damaged area, then build a finish designed to look right and last.
Good to know
We handle everyday interior damage including settlement cracks, screw and fixing holes, dents, chips, damaged plaster, worn window sills, skirting and failed cosmetic repairs. Photos help us confirm whether the job is suitable.
We can assess the closest practical match, but aged paint may have faded or changed. For the most consistent result, we may recommend repainting the full wall rather than only the repaired patch.
Not always. Clear photographs, measurements and your postcode are often enough for an initial estimate. Larger or more complex work may need a short site visit before a firm quotation.
We repair and redecorate the cosmetic damage after the underlying moisture source has been resolved. We will not simply paint over active damp or an ongoing leak.
Yes. Once a qualified electrician or plumber has completed the installation and confirmed it is ready to cover, we can fill, reinforce where needed, smooth and redecorate the chase so it blends back into the wall. We do not carry out the electrical or plumbing work itself.
